slow water canoe trip for 1 day

Buddy of mine is coming intown Friday even and leaving Sunday evening. Wanted to drive somewhere Friday night and spend all Saturday canoeing and driving back Sunday. Was going to do Horsethief Canyon ..but the 20 miles of canoeing maybe too much in one day. All other ideas something thats a canyon and not fast moving water and not 20 miles!

Try Gunnison river in Dominguez canyon. Escalante creek to Big Dominguez creek or Big Dominguez to Whitewater, both about 12 miles or so.

We are planning to come out and run Somewhere around Stone bridge to Rincon on Friday 8-24 and hopefully Browns on Sat. We will be in 1 kayak and 1 2 person canoe with airbags. Let me know if you want to join us.
