On Friday July 14th Confluence Kayaks will be showing a slide show hosted by Sam Drevo of NRG Kayaking. Sam will be promoting his world kayak tours. He has some amazing trips lined up for coming year. Trips to Africa, Costa Rica, and China just to name a few. It should be incredibly inspiring.
The party should kick-off around 6:30 and well have food and drinks for the crowd.
On a separate note we will be auctioning off a yellow Liquid Logic Jefe. This is no ordinary boat. The proceeds of this kayak will go directly to the Adam Barron Memorial Fund. The Jefe was one of Adams favorite kayaks. In fact Adam broke his kayak while boating on the South Saint Vrain, just days before his Vallecito accident. Liquid Logic and Confluence Kayaks have replaced Adams kayak on warranty. Adam was an incredible guy and a great friend of the shop. We want this boat to go to someone who enjoys life and kayaking as much as he did. And, we want the proceeds to go where they belong. Ive contacted Marty and hes working on getting a brass sign made to put along one of Adams favorite runs- the South Saint Vrain. With a little help we can hopefully get the word out and raise enough money from this sale to pay for the sign and the installation.
