skanky NEW rapid

I got off 270 at Quebec the other day glanced over at Sand Creek and see this horizon line,I was like "what the fuck',couldn't stop then so went back yesterday.Apparently they redesigned one of those railroad tie old school lowhead dams and made a 50 yd. long rapid ,it's kind of cool they tried to simulate a natural rapid it's a boulder slalom type affair looks like at least class 3 with alot of manuevering. There are several other decent sized drops visible from the highway,a couple 20 ft apx railroad tie "falls" and a couple concrete slides about 15+ ft. Now ,the catch, water quality makes Union look like the Garden of Eden, it had barely enough water to run, next time it rains I MAY RUN IT IF i can find somewhere to get decontaminated afterwards.Kayak Commerce City anyone.

Keep us posted. I'm not affraid of a little funk. Grew up boating in NY. Can't get too much worse than the Mohawk and Hudson thanks to GE and Knowles Atomic Energy.
