Shoulder Surgeon Recommendation?

I have a buddy needing shoulder surgery, I remember reading a thread with recommendations for surgeon on the Front Range, but my search skills are failing to find it, so I will start a new one. :/

Anyone have recommendations for good surgeons in the Denver/Boulder area?

Dr. Dimitrios Zaronias, Rock Creek Medical Offices, Lafayette...I'm nearly 6 weeks out from a very complex rotator cuff repair...also choose a very good, sports/outdoor oriented PT.

don't forget to line up a great PT

Where is your friend? Here in Colorado we're blessed with a number of outstanding docs that specialize in fixing very active athletes. I went to Gray, at Orthopedic Clinic of the Rockies in Ft Collins. Like others, he's an athlete, works on professional athletes (e.g. Denver Avalanche players) and is excellent. You might want a couple opinions, someone reasonably close by, and a very good PT for rehab.

I hear the center in Vail is one of the world's best, but is very pricey. And maybe not all that much better than the excellent docs that practice elsewhere (but "elsewhere" doesn't include the 5-star accommodations and view).
