Selway Late Season

Greetings y'alls,

Yup pulled a late season Selway permit, Like July26th late. Anybody have any input on the Selway run at low levels? Is a small raft out of the question? Should we plan on kayak self support?

fly in to Moose Crk airstrip, and even then go self-support or with really small fishing-cats and flippers. Bring masks, snorkels, fins.... the swimming is excellent (seriously). It's a worthy trip, but it's gonna be BONY. We took rafts from the top at 0.8 on the guage once..... never again. Have friends from McCall who do the fly-in / small-cat thing regularly, and they love it. Personally, I like 5ft. STOMPING.
So many rivers, so little time..........

Launched from the top July 24th last year rowing a spider, guage was around a foot if I remember correctly. You will get stuck but I actually thought it was pretty fun and technical. Probably wouldn't want to go much lower, though.
