Section A & B Greenriver below Flaming Gorge
These are usually such easy stretches of river that I couldn't bring myself to ask for advice, but with the number of drownings all over the intermountain west I have decided to ask the following questions:
With releases at about 8900 cfs are the rapids in these two sections worse than normal releases of 4750 cfs? Can I expect "about" the same run at 8900 as I am use to at 4750, or is it significantly more dangerous?
I am taking my 8 year old granddaughter in an Aire 156D. I am not a seasoned rafter, but have run A & B about 6 times in both rafts and duckies, never having any problem. I simply don't want to expose her to any risk, but I have assumed there is not that much difference at 8900 versus 4750.
Thanks for the help.
