Sealing cockpit rim with foam

I recall a while back Bomber Gear was selling a little roll of closed cell foam with adhesive on one side that you rolled below your cockpit rim. He claimed he was able to get a much more watertight seal with the skirt with this addition. Anyone tried anything like this before with success? I don't think they're selling this anymore, but anyone know a good source of where to buy something equivalent? I'm not quite sure what dimension, thickness, foam type, etc. would be appropriate.

It looks like the weather stripping you get for your doors to me, cut to size and about an inch thick? maybe the vid will help:

I have not tried it yet, but was told a bike tube around the cockpit rim accomplishes the same theory. Might give that a go this season.

I saw that too and used 1inch x 1/4inch weather stripping. My Burn is a pretty dry ride now.

You can get similar results from old bicycle inner tubes. Just cut the stem off.
