I have heard from a few folks here in telluride that there are multiple submerged Strainers in Sawpit Rapid. I would not take the chance running it. Anything over 400 cfs is good to go for the miguel... I think it is @ about 700. Plannin on paddlin it this evening.......but will portage sawpit. I think it is still runnable but a swim or even ending up upside down could be serious.
We've run the Miguel (including all of sawpit) 6 or 7 times in the last two weeks at levels from the low 500's to mid 700's. Haven't had any problems with strainers. I believe there is one river wide tree below sawpit but we were able to pass right over it a couple of days ago when the level was at 535.
