sarapiqui runnable after earthquake?

Have people been running the river after the earthquake in 2008? Heading down July 4

Pretty sure there was some sections that were blown out by the earthquake but I ran a fun class III section in November 2009 so there is still parts of it that are runnable. Can't remember the name of the section or anything like that...I will see if I can find some info for you and will repost...

We ran the La Virgen section of the Sarapiqui in the Spring of 2009 with Roberto Cacho and Ferdinand Steinvorth. About 9 miles of class II-III. Noticeable effects of the earthquake/flood were large tree trunks and debris deposited along the river bank.

We are going to run the same section if you mean that you put in at la virgin. Was there good play? I hope there is wafer at the beginning of July? Do you know where to get boats in san Jose?
