The nice thing about the Green and Cat is that you can get a permit pretty much any time you want. The bad thing about the Green in the summer is that it's so stink'n hot that you don't feel like doing anything. If you do it during high water the camping is limited becaue the Tammies are almost impossible to break through. I'd recommend a trip down the Green in the spring or the fall. Big beaches and great hiking. Sorry I haven't gotten down the San Juan yet.

The only launch dates avaible are in late July or August for San Juan.
