San Juan Mank

Yep, it's that time of year. Looked at Miller Creek today. It was running a hardy 40 CFS this AM (Sun). Should be in by tomorrow or during next week. Maybe enough tonight. I believe it peaks in the eve.
The newly renovated 5 dollar falls will be run this year. The eddy above it is now huge due to a log jam which you could slide on the right.
There is a log jam above Z mank and one above the gauge drop that you can see from the road. Other than that it all goes and is relatively clean if you feel like lightening your creek boat by about 1/16" on it's bottom.

Steve.

If you are in stop in on the way up. I can't get anyone to do it with me twice.

Your message was quicker than Tboner in bed and cut off your number, call me. And trust me miller is way too gay for you to go down.

My guess is that it is in. On it's way to getting big. Also treasure is in, but I am not sure if the road is open from wolf creek or not. Anyone know of a way to check? I forget the name of the ghost town at the top of the pass and can't find my gazeteer.
I am out this month for w/e adventures and can swing weekday, let me know.

Had to go run it solo tonight. Everything but 5 dollar. It's boney, but should be better as long as it stays warm. It peaks in the evening. I posted some pics.

Warren, you are a typical San juan elitest flow snob. Miller is not for anyone born or raised in the San Juans, but if you are from the FR or the South, it goes.

Yeah it goes. Goes straight to the ER to deal with your cervical compression or straight to Four Corners to replace the boat you break.

Dr. Mankenstein, I appriciate the invite yesterday but I have to go with Warren on this one. I scouted it about 2:30pm yesterday and looked interesting but looked like painfull mank and a boat breaker. Has anybody scouted the spillway out of lemon? It looked like it might go.

Any beta on the new hole and wood in Entrance Falls? (vallecito)

Entrance

As for the hole at the lip BE CAREFUL. What used to be a perfect little lip now comes at you alot faster. The new hole at the lip will slow you down a bit but is not a big deal as long as you go into it with a bit of speed. Just rember your boof. Dont pay so much attention to the hole as to miss your stroke. They are stacked up. I'm finding the the actual falls is a little more v'd than flat now which dosen't allow me to get as far away as I used to upon landing. Everyone I've watched run it this year has pretty much landed right at the base instead of being a bit farther out. The pool in the bottom has a floater but hides mainly behind the falls. The cave is chocked full. Not that it would be an issue if you don't miss that stroke.
