Is the road open to boundary creek yet, or should I plan an leaving a little sooner and launching at Marsh? strainers in marsh seem to be a major concern/hazard.
I've never boated in ID, cant wait!
We were on it last year from May 26th-June 1st (or 2nd, can't remember). It was around 7,800 cfs (6-6.2 feet). Definitely moving pretty good, eddies aren't terribly hard to catch in most cases, but a lot of them aren't big enough for more than three boats....well, comfortably anyway.
Scout eddies shouldn't be too bad.....but I'll forewarn you about Velvet....she'll sneak right up on you and missing the scout eddy is VERY easy to do (it happened to all of us and carnage ensued).
Is it really projected to peak at 5k this year????
That'll make ours on June26 pretty low.......NOT that I'm complaining....ANY trip down that river is well worth it. I just like the BIG stuff.
