Rustic on the Poudre

Is the Poudre high enough to justify driving up river to run either Upper or Lower Rustic?

I have run the upper Rustic several times. I think you want 2.8' or so or higher. The 2.8 is scratchy in spots in a canoe, if I remember right. We put in below the white mile and pulled out at the bridge below Rustic. CRC says not recommended below 3.0' for the upper.

I've run them both down to about 2.3. That's a bony level but I thought worth it on both upper and lower. I don't think I'd go lower than 2.3 though.

In a kayak you will be fine, the gauge read just under 3 feet this morning. It does look a little bony though. I would not go past mish or the narrows. The rustic stuff is a good ways up and it did not look all that fun. I personally have never run it though.

Ran it at around 2.6 and had a good time a few weeks ago. We put in just past mile marker 87 at a small fishermans pull off. Ran it down around 8 miles. several easy class III rapids if that is what you are looking for. It will be boney though
