On our way home from Ladore our trailer blew a gasket and was left for dead. It has ended up in a shop in Vernal, Utah. It cost us $500. Looks like it will need a $350 axle replacement cuz the shop owner can't find a new spindle to weld on.
We're thinking that if we pay to have it fixed, then at least we might be able to get some money for it in Vernal and not loose all 500 beans. Hopefully it gets back to us. Any advice will be taken on this idea.
So, IF we decide to fix it and not leave it for dead, then we would need a helpful friend to drive the trailer from Gates of Lodore take out (or Vernal) back to the north denver/boulder/golden area.
Would any buzzards headed to Lodore in July be into doing this type of trip? We would pay for at least an SUV-sized tank of gas for the effort as well as bottle of your choosing and kudos.
