Runnable Levels on the Blue/Green Mtn. Canyon?

Planning a trip to the Blue this weekend with some beginners. What minimum flows are needed?

The CRC says it's run able down to 300 but I ran it last weekend at 450 and it wasn't very good. The rapids would be good for beginners at this level because they are very small but also it's very bony at this level and that might freak them out especially if they roll.
