Ruby / Horsethief... how long in a canoe

At the current level, how long should it take in a canoe? I have a multiday raft trip planned early August and some friends want to try to catch up in canoes for the second night. We would either be at one of the last Blackrocks sites or more likely the last campsite that is a couple miles past Blackrocks accross from McDonald Canyon on river left. Should they be able to make it in a reasonable amount of time to be able to enjoy the evening festivities?

Depends on how fast they want to paddle. Loma - Black Rocks can be done in 2-3 hours at a good pace. Longer if you're slow or stalled by wind.
