Blackrocks is only concern. If you have a raft 14 ft or larger you should be comfortable taking children even at high water. Good idea to scout it, and kids can alway walk around. If you are camping at Blackrocks, then the concern becomes not running the river, but falling into the river...with little ones.

camping

We'll be camping along there this weekend, do you think there's anything to worry about with the water coming up? Or should we just try to camp a little farther away from the shore?

We're not talking huge changes like when they play games in the Grand Canyon and go from 8k to 45k in 30 minutes. The issue will be lack of sand. So don't be picky about signing up for a spot which usually has sand...as it will be pretty limited at all the sites this weekend.

Do you think the blackrocks section is anything with the current flow that could flip an 18 footer if the rower was not drunk?

zERO chance to flip an 18 footer even if drunk. But oarsman on peyote and with 8 CU coeds aboard it maybe a 5 % chance if you all reach fro the cooler at the same time.
