Rodeo Rapid On Eagle

Rodeo looks big right now. It is a lot different than it was a year or two ago. It looks fliptastic for rafts. Are the commercials still running it right now?

It also looks like a couple of big surf spots for kayaks maybe on the fly, but one or two really big waves with big piles to check out if you are into that sort of thing

Also, what gives on the gravel parking lot closing in July permanantly?

Look back in Vail Daily and you will find an article about the lot. Some sort fo weird deal where Eagle though CDOT owned it and then discovered that it was not the case. i guess now the have plans for it.

Has Rodeo been reworked over the winter? It was remodeled winter 06-07...

I don't think any more changes have been made but it certainly has taken on a new look as the water has been going up. With regards to commercial raft trips....we are but that changes daily when younger families join us...then chambers is the opt out spot. We'll have to see come this weekend

That parking lot would be a perfect place for a Waffle House. (If you are not from the S.E. you might not be familiar). Right off I-70, room for trucks to park...mmmmmmm...greasy....

But its still a mountain town and Waffle House (although I love it) might not be high end enough.

Maybe an Original House of Pancakes.......mmmmmm love that bacon.

Well...(disclaimer here...always scout when in doubt) but just right of center for #1 and #2 hole....then a bit more right on #3....hope you kept your speed......sideays........snake eyes
