Roberts tunnel putting water in Bailey/Foxton

Just flipping through the gauges and saw that they turned on the water on roberts tunnel. Latest update was an extra flow of 119 cfs @ 10:15, but the guage hasn't leveled off, so it could be more. Nice little prop up to keep bailey going at a decent flow!

Any update from our Denver Water liason? Will it last through the weekend?

The natural flow sure has made for a pretty nice bailey season, despite early season worries that the tunnel wouldn't run and flows would be low.

It's true that the early season on NF hasn't been the doom-and-gloom that we anticipated it would be. Last word I had from DWB on the tunnel was that they would not need it until later in June or July, and we are at the start of that period.

I can't give more info right now, as I just learned my contact is out of the office until the end of the month. I'll post when I know more, though.

Looks like the tunnel flow is leveling off around 160 cfs. That should pump the bailey gauge up to 480 and the pine gauge up to about 600cfs. Yahoo!
