river sauna

the best way to take the chill off on those cold river nights. the tent is a used ultility enclosure bought on craigslist for $75 (fire retardant material). it opens and closes without having to remove any poles. the window and door have velcro closures. just spring it open and add the stove. the roof penetration is two pieces of 6" flashing material riveted together. the stove pipe is collapsible and stores in the tent bag. the stove legs fit into sleaves inside the stove providing a wide and stable base. the legs fit in the stove for storage.
the ammo can had one side removed and a door fabricated, then the original handle and clapse were welded on. the ammo can lid was reinforced with a steel plate to which the stove pipe connector was welded on. I burned off the origanl paint and resprayed it with high temp stove paint.
once the stove is fired up, pour a little water on it and its an instant sweat lodge. It should fit 1-4 chile boaters depending on your desire to be sweat upon.
I was inspired thanks to all the previous threads on ammo can stoves and got the idea for the sauna. with my 18' aire cat, hauling the stove and tent will not be a burden.

Bad ass. If you can make the stove dual purpose then it's a total win!
On the river, I can abandon who I am and what I've done. However brief it lasts, while on the river I am nothing important and everything insignificant. I am flotsam, and happy to be so.
