Check this out...Chad decided it would be a good idea to clean all the garbage out of the Mississippi River, so he did. Now the organization he started has a tugboat and barges which Chad and volunteers are using to clean up other rivers, restore wetlands, and educate people about restoring riparian ecosystems.
Follow Chad's lead and take responsibility for your local river:
- Clean up after yourself and others
- Volunteer and/or contribute (or organize a cleanup)
- Educate and encourage others to do the same
