hey - thinking of a float trip (lobotos) over memorial day. anyone have any info if flows will pick up by then? seems like they're well below average.

any info anyone?

while i'm at it, any info on how crowded this area might be if flows pick up?

thanks - S

Two problems with your idea: rules and flow. The rule is no boating during April and May do to breeding birds. The flow won’t be enough either. Looking at 2002, which this year has been compared to, the river peaked at 90 CFS in early May and fell afterwards. We did better a week ago at 400 CFS, but it’s down to 200 CFS today. The recommended minimum is 300 CFS. Doing the Chama is a much better bet, since it gets more water thru diversions in a drought year.
