Riley (7) learned to Roll today!

I am so stoked. He's been paddling since he was 4, but only started working on his roll recently.

I wasn't making much progress with him, so I hired my friend Jason Beausoleil to give it a go. He is an instructor who runs the kid's kayak club for the town of Lyons. He came really close on the 1st lesson Monday and started nailing it 10 minutes into today's session.

Jason has taught a lot of kids and it shows. He made it fun and painless.

I highly recommend him for both kids and adults. is Jason's email

I'll try to post a video later, if I have time.

Congrats to the Riley-man!

And to you, too, Dave, I was always really impressed with how you handled his comfort boundaries.

When's he gonna be ready for Frog Rock! I wanna come along!

Congrats to Riley.

You are doing a great job with him Dave. It will be neat for you to watch him progress. I can just hear him now in a few years "come on dad, lets see if we can move the put in a half mile up stream, we can drag the saw up and clean out the wood"
