Rescues at Pueblo WW Park?

My wife's a prof at CSU Pueblo and one of her students told her that "they" (whoever that is) had to "rescue" two kayakers at the park because they couldn't get out of a hole (#7?) Anybody hear about this? Sounds far fetched. Maybe they were tubers...she also heard about lot's of tubers in there now.

Three of us helped free 2 girls that were caught in #7 last Thursday. They were in a Kmart raft with no gear. I was told by Bob at the edge that signs had been put up to ban tubers and inexperienced rafters from the ww park till the flows drop. With that said I can see where a kayaker could get held in #7, the design of it is flawed and it is a pretty serious hole.
