renting a groover in Moab

I hate dealing with the dookie at the end of a trip. I've got a Cataract trip coming up April 10, and I'm looking to rent some groovers in Moab, and drop them off when were done. It looks like a few of the canoe rental places offer toilet rentals, but I was wondering if anyone here has any suggestions on who I should check with first. How far is the nearest scat machine to Moab?

So you're looking for someone that will take all your shit, huh?

you may want to call some of the outfitters down there like Canyon Voyages or sherry Griffith since they take custys on multiday trips all the time. a lot rent gear and that should include groovers so theyr bound to be willing to clean em out for the right price. im sure right now theirs a river bum in moab lookin for a job with an outfitter that will have this for his first chore of the season. :P

I'll boat til the rivers run dry

Rob: Assuming you'd head to Moab via GJ there's a good option for you in Fruita. Rimrock Adventures rents groovers and will, as I recall, dump them for a fee. There is also an RV dump right at the Fruita exit, about a half mile from Rimrock, that is quite easy to use with their groovers.

Tex's Riverways is a great company, but they only rent toilets to people using their shuttle and they don't shuttle Cat. I'd go with Canyon Voyages at (800) 733-6007. good luck working out your shit

Depending on dates and numbers, Red River Canoe -- now Moab Rafting and Canoe Co. -- can rent groovers, and will dump your crap, too. Check with Theresa at 435.259.7238. CV folks are great, too.

Moab groovers

Lots of places around Moab that rent and clean groovers. I personally like Canyon Voyages (they use the Partner stainless groovers), though I recall that many of the rafting companies there will happily do it (Sherry, Navtec, Adrift, CV, Red River Rafting [not to be confused with Red River Canoe who split away and has different owners], Tag... Just show up in town and you can have it sorted in a few minutes..
