Releases to Big T

Sorry I didn't get something out yesterday so you had more heads up. I was away from a computer and wasn't expecting a change in our releases from Olympus Dam to the Big Thompson. Here is the notice I just sent out after sitting in on a meeting regarding scheduling:

Most of you noticed that yesterday afternoon we bumped up releases from Olympus Dam in Estes Park to the Big Thompson River. Releases are currently running around 400 cfs.

The reason for the increased release is that one of our power units tripped off line yesterday afternoon. We anticipate the 400 cfs release to the Big Thompson to continue through today and into tomorrow, Tuesday, August 3. It is possible it could continue into Wednesday, August 4.

Please let me know if you have any related questions or comments.
