I vote for the Falls. Most the others you can avoid easily and I know that you know the river. But with the Falls you are rolling the dice. So... Jeff swims in the Falls!

-To get on the river more than the 5 times I was on it last year (Check)
-Boat something in Durango (Fail)
-Boat at least the upper part of the Crystal Gorge (Fail)
-3 New sections of river (Check: Meatgrinder, NF of the Crystal, SF of the Crystal, Hunter Creek, Upper Frying Pan)
-Teach my friends how to kayak (Check: added a new boater to the community)
-Bow stall (this has been a goal from day one) I will offer anyone $50 if they can get me to bow stall consistently on the river (pool doesn't count) (Fail)
-Pass my masters classes (Fail: had to take an incomplete in one of my classes because I couldn't type my paper for the below reason)
-Get married (Check: Best part of the summer)
-Make sure my soon to be wife enjoys her 1st river trip on the Middle Fork of the Salmon (Fail: With about five minutes before launch I decide to run Dagger Falls, paddle gets stuck, flip, no paddle reach for paddle slice my digital nerve, hotel room, surgery, wife drives us home, miserable rest of the year, wife hates the Salmon, most of my other goals not completed)
-Figure out a crew that I can run with in Glenwood (Sort of)

Thanks Mike,
I have a busy ass schedule this summer and now I have even more to do.(Didn't have a busy summer at all, just sat around not being able to do any activities besides drink beer and get fatter)

One of my main goals was to get on Gore consistently. I've always been a little scared of it because I paddled it for the first time years ago, when I really had no business being in there - and always remembered being gripped. I have had an absolute blast getting on gore pretty much every weekend since clear creek, take 2, went away! I hate when our season ends and the only way to extend it is to get on Gore - so, I'm happy to say that I am no longer a Gore-o-phobe and have come to thoroughly enjoy that run!

I was pretty psyched to get on Spencer Heights and the upper gnarrows this year too. I've boated white line before, but hadn't gone for Super Collider, so was happy to get that under my belt.

I got on the Middle Fork Salmon for the first time and had the time of my life! Great group, beautiful run, amazing wild life and hot was all-around stellar.

Myself, Tina and Natalie organized a "Women's Poudre Paddle" race and 9 girls came out for it and it was an amazing weekend. I ended up meeting a couple ladies that I consistently paddled with throughout the rest of the season so was really stoked about that. The race is hopefully, the first of many for years to come.

It's been a great season and I'll continue to hit Gore until it's no longer possible. More Gore - MO-GO!!!!!

Well, good stuff Beth. Looking back at my notes from April I have Gore at 425 cfs: "Beth took a swim in Kirshbaum (and walked Tunnel) on the first lap, so dropped out for the second lap." This would seem to indicate some good progress over the season. Next year your goal should be to show up to paddle with no borrowed gear. Call it a stretch goal.

Goal 1) Nobody dies (check)

Goal 2) 1000 river miles (fell short by 156 miles. But I still have 6 more weeks.)
