Rafter runs Gore without helmet

I witnessed one of the craziest things ever, Sunday, while running Gore Canyon. A rafter, who goes by "Ron Who Runs Gore," paddled Gore helmetless. When I asked him why he wasn't wearing a helmet, he said that he's paddled Gore so much, he didn't think it was necessary. I thought he was crazy, but maybe he really is that good, where he didn't need head protection. Either that, or he was baked out of his mind, and forgot to bring one.
Be safe out there, remember your pfd's and helmets.

I saw him try to take an oar frame on a 18' self-bailer down Gore once. He flipped in Gore rapid, luckily he was wearing a helmet.

LoopDog, you are nuts. I saw you throwing sick loops in the bottom of Double T. without your boat. It looked like so much fun I decided to join in twice. Thanks for chucking that rope to me when I was 3 feet under water... I needed the practice holding my breath. LoopDog you are the man.
