R 2ing-3ing the Ark

I live in town in BV and paddle a Puma Aire... I'm always looking for a few decent paddlers to jump on board as I'm new in town...I have 4 years guiding class III-V under my belt..most of it being big III-IV stuff ..I'm 39 going on 29 420 friendly and love kicking back a few beers either during or after paddling...

Give me a shout if your interested,

PS Im heading up to the Poudre next weekend pending its flowing anyone game?

The Poudre is good to go for rafting starting at .7 for Bridges - not that it is a lot of fun but you can get a 13' raft with custies down at that level.

Check Poudre Rock Report for current flows.

Last report was 1.3, but as it is warming up and the sun is shining, look for the levels to come up for the weekend. Over 1.7 a puma should be able to run from Upper Mish down through Bridges, but it might be a bit scrapy in Poudre Park, over 2 would be better and things start to gel above 3 ft. That is also about the minimum (3 ft.) level to make Upper and Lower Rustic worthwhile.

Are you looking to paddle raft the Poudre or row it?

For most sections of the river, it doesn't get really fun until it hits 2.5 ft. on the rock. It can be run lower (Bridges is run commercially down to around 1 ft.) but it's probably not worth the drive.
