Questions about Gunnison Festival??

What's going on in Gunnison? Is there any water? Is it worth coming up from Durango where we've got a prety good play spot right now? Also, does anyone have a schedule of events for the festival?

10 am Opening ceremonies
10:15 Freestyle meeting
10:30 Freestyle comp starts

Sunday:
9:00 Rodeo stuff starts again
3:30 BomberGear Big Trick Comp
4:00 Pro Finals

It sounds like the hole is more like a flushy wave at this point, but I have heard that they are bringing in sand bags to constrict the water. No word on how that has worked out thus far.

Was there for the saturday stuff. Lots of fun. lots of spectators. Gunnison Paddle club is hosting a great event! Pros were ripping it up even though the hole isn't super sticky. More to come tomorow and better runs as they will have learned the hole a bit better. Lots of other events as well.

Off to the big party now.
