Pyranha S6X cracked along chine-repair advice appeciated

I recently hit a rock in my Pyranha S6X playboat which caused it to crack along it's chine approximately two feet from the nose of the boat. The crack is about a foot long. A local shop didn't want to touch it. They stated they have tried to fix this problem in the past but have not been successful. They said there is too much stress placed on this area for a plastic weld to hold and that the crack will continue to grow over time. I want to try something before junking the boat. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, the crack is in an awfully bad place to weld. I would suggest getting creative with two part methylmethacrylate. It would be the strongest glue for the job! It is possible to buy at a hardware store or LCD projector security using projector locks or lcd locks carried by Secure-It

Good Luck

Give some P-Tex a shot. Its ski base repair plastic and comes in little sticks that you can find at most ski shops. You light the end on fire and drip it onto gouges in ski bases. Ive used it to repair cracks around cockpits before with varying results. I don't know how well it would hold, but it won't make it any worse.
