Pyranha recoil

I'm thinking about buying a used recoil. I was hoping to get some feedback as to what folks who paddled it thought in terms of both river running and play boating. I've paddled a bit in a Jackson fun. How do the two boats compare? Looks like the recoil is a tiny bit bigger.

I had the medium recoil. Great river runner and surfer. Not so good on the play. If you want to do more playboating than just surf I'd go with a fun.
