Put a hole in a skirt.

About the size of a dime. Anything new other than sew and aqua Seal?

I found an old 2009 thread on this, but couldn't get it to bounce. The tear is not near a seam or on the cockpit, and the rest of the skirt is like new, so I'd like to salvage if possible.

I have only used the sew and Aqua seal method, but thought there was something else out there I saw in a shop. Iron Mend might be it, but thought there was a heat treated patch that was simpler.

Take it to an alteration shop and have them sew it. Probably charge you 5-10 bucks for a professional quality stitch job. Then aqua seal.

For a dime sized hole that is not on the cockpit rim, I would sew up with dental floss to close the gap. I would then put a blob of aquaseal all around it. Used this method effectively to fix small holes in the past.

Is it an IR skirt? Send it to them and they'll fix it.

Seal Cement.

We use it to repair neoprene wet suits. Follow the instructions and you also won't see the repair.

If it's IR they will help you out with a pro repair job. They did mine last year.

Otherwise put gorilla tape underneath the hole, apply aqua seal to fill hole, and put a small piece of gorilla tape over top. Should work for a couple months.

X2 on the seal cement. I have used it in combination with neoprene patches for similar jobs.

Would any of this work for trimming down the tunnel on a skirt? Mine's probably about twice the length it needs to be, and I'm just worried about fraying. Do I even need to worry about it? Sorry, I did start my own thread a week or two ago, but got nothin. Any suggestions would be cool.

Sew with dental floss, then Aqua Seal or Shoe Goo to seal it up. Strong & lasts a long time.
