Pumphouse run camping options???

Taking mom and the wife down pumphouse in IK's on sunday for mother's day. We are going to camp up there sat night. I have never camped up there. I was thinking either at pumphouse put in, or at radium. Any advice on which is a better place to camp? Don't really know much about either.

Pumphouse, plus you can hike up Gore a bit and check out Kirshbaum's.

If you camp along the river you will hear trains ALL night long. Unless you are camping on river from a raft, stay up the side creek near radium to be a little more removed.

about a mile past rio del rancho/yarmony bridge there is a large field river left. I have seen a lot of camping done there. It's pretty private but yes there is the train factor. Other than that its looks sweet. Only problem is every time I have planned on camping there, the spot has been taken by the time I pull the boat up. There is plenty of room for multiple tents and spots but I like it private. But that is the spot to camp if your planning on it. Good luck.
