Pueblos Park is running and warm.

The Paddle Park in Pueblo is one of Colorados newest and by far the biggest. It has eight drops flowing into large pools with boulders in the current after each drop so its a good place for the novice and with seven different waves something is allways going off.On march 2-06 it was 80 in Pueblo and the river was running over two hundred, not a flod but a start. Getting to the park from the north-Come south on I-25 take the first street exit , come down the ramp and turn right on first cross Santa Fe the Main Union Av. will be on the left a half block after Main fallow Unionfive blocks or so up and over the river after the bridge the first street is Carona you can park there and walk down the stairs to the bottom of the course and walk up to the top. Do the walk up when your fresh to save the long walk back when your cooked from all the fun your going to have. You can eat , sleep and party close for vary little$. For more help or a place to crash close to the park call the local shop "The Edge" @719-583-2021 for river flows check the Ark. in Pueblo at Moffat st. Look for more happenings at the park for the spring and summer.

Arkansas River Festival in Pueblo May 13th!

Mark May 13th in your calendar!
Announcing the Second Annual Arkansas River Festival. It is a one-day event in the Pueblo Whitewater Park beginning at 10am on Saturday May 13th. Yep, that's the day before Mother's Day.

Bring your boat, your kids, your sunscreen, your dog, and even your mom! We will have plenty to do for everyone. This isn't your run of the mill festival where you sit on the bank and watch all the pros looping and cartwheeling all over the place. We will have free raft rides through the park, a dog fetching contest, an 8-ball kayak race through the park, a chance for those who have never gotten in a kayak to give it a try, plenty of water to get in some good play, food, and much, much more!

So if you plan to come to Pueblo, plan to have a GREAT time!

Need more info? Keep an eye on www.pueblopaddlers.com or call Bob Walker at The Edge Ski, Paddle & Pack. 719.583.2021
See you in the park!

Yeah, especially bring your mom!

But until the level comes up to around 700 don't drive too far to get there or you may be quite disappointed you spent the gas money. It's worth a trip from condo springs.

That's a good point. If you need big water to have fun, you should stay on your couch. But if you are like the rest of us mortals and would like to get some early season surfing in, make new friends and check out an 8-feature whitewater park on the front range, then come on down!

Thats a lame point about needing more water. The park is running 594 today and comming up by the May 13 it will be around 1000. So if you do stay home youll miss out on a good day. P.S. the boaters that came to the contest last week riped it up at 400 so boat it or bitch about it and see witch one makes you better faster. See ya on the water , maybe?
