Pueblo Play Park #3 wave - kicks ass needs work

The title is wrong - i'm thinking of #4 wave

#4 was awesome yesterday. A nice hole that I assume would give up almost any trick and a nice fast green wave on surfers right. Its big and fast.

The only problem is you can't paddle from the eddy back on the wave b/c there is a weird seam coming off the shore. I don't have a photo of it but maybe someone else could post one. I think we could fix this with a few rocks and other crap (a old rail road tie) laying around the area. If anyone has any ideas let me know - i'd be happy to spend an afternoon moving rocks.

So does anyone else agree and think we can fix this?

If you have a picture or video of this please post it so others can pitch in.

Thanks!
-Patrick

yep, when we got there today it was cooking then folded as the flows drop but you have to carry back up. if that were gone it would be sweet.

Agreed.....it's a tough level between 1k and 2k, kinda hard to get on.....but when you do, it's the best feature in the park. Pueblo Paddlers are working hard with the city to improve upon little details like that.

I've found success at current levels accessing the feature river-left.

And unfortunately moving rocks is not an option at this point. It has to be done at low water with heavy machinery, (permission of the city) and cemented into place. Otherwise you run the risk of having them come loose and crash down on you when the water levels move up. Part of the fun is the challenge of making things work even though they aren't "perfect".
Right now our main concerns in the park are erosion and the fact that budget-cutting kept everything that was 'supposed' to get done from getting done, namely the boulders on the banks river right.
Making improvements is an on-going process. And as more boaters use the facility the more likely the city of Pueblo will take notice and keep up the place.
