Pueblo Park and 4th St. Bridge work?

I've heard that Pueblo is planning repairs to the 4th Street Bridge (west bridge upstream of park) and that this could have some effect on the flow through the whitewater park.

Does anyone have any specific details on this? I'm trying to plan a beginner day at the PPP, and want to avoid scheduling it anytime there may be a diversion of some sort.

Thanks

Flows should not be affected. Whatever the release is from Pueblo Reservoir will just pass under the new bridge construction. (Bridge construction will not effect releases.)

You can still park in the lot off 4th street to the southeast of the bridge. (Left at the top of the bridge coming from downtown.) A ramp will be kept open from the lot down to the first feature. Accessing all features should be no problem

There may be access from the park upstream, but it will go through a construction zone. Probably best to stay down at the park - all the play is dowstream of the work zone anyway.

As with all roadway construction, there may be flaggers, traffic backups etc. Allow some extra time to access the parking area.
