The Pueblo Paddlers have joined up with the Pueblo Chile & Frijole Fest to bring the party to the Pueblo Whitewater Park September 22-24th.
The Chile Fest is a 3-day event in Pueblo, Colorado for lovers of good food, beer, music and now whitewater kayaking. Last year the festival recorded 90,000 visits over the three days.
Along with the rows of tents from local farms roasting peppers the Pueblo Paddlers will be holding a rodeo on Saturday the 23rd. There will also be free raft rides for non-boaters through the park. We are hoping for flows somewhere between 600-1000cfs. If you were at our Ice Breaker rodeo in April you know we can have fun in Pueblo even if we don't have HUGE water.
Other events for the weekend include (all on Sunday), a hot trick competition, boogie board contest, the Pepper Plunge (our version of the popular hooligan race at FIBArk), and a rubber ducky race where buyers of a numbered duck has an opportunity to win some cool prizes!
So come and compete or just come and party and paddle. Our events are boater friendly and allow for plenty of paddling even if you aren't competing!
Keep an eye on Mountainbuzz for more details or just shoot me an email.
