So here's a rundown of the situation as I know it and have seen it. Asphalt truck goes over the guard rail below Bridges put in. Clean up requires Poudre Canyon Highway shutdown at that point. Everyone is being told to use stove prairie rd. Search and Rescue posted at Bridges put in to stop boaters. They told me the whole river is closed. Upon further investigation up river, no one was posted at any put-ins, but I did see a ranger leaving narrows campground. (Don't know if he was making rounds to stop boaters or just collected from the fee box.)
That's all I know.
Since I was told be an official type person that no one can boat, I will relay that message. However, if you wanted to take your chances of a stern talking to or wasted time, then the decision is yours. Personally, I'd sit it out today, hope for the best tomorrow, and pray the Water Commish wasn't joking when he said they'd release 150 cfs every day until mid september.
That's all I got.
