Is it in Route County or over the WY line? How about the Roaring Fork of the Snake?

The Paddler magazine staff will have a trip report up soon. I will leave that sort of stuff to them as they are probably better at this sort of thing than I am.

Look for it soon here: http://www.paddlermagblog.com/

We left Steamboat at 7:45 am and were back at the Hiway Bar in Hayden by 9:30 pm.

The Business

Tis' true. The Elkhead was a serious project and we completed it safely this weekend. Check out the write-up and pics here. This mission could be a sweet multi-day instead of a one-day epic......enjoy.........

Elkhead Creek out of California Park, basically the source of Elkhead Creek. At some point, Elkhead Creek become Elkhead River. I am not sure where. It's about an hour from Steamboat.

The blog worked fine last night. It may be experiencing too much traffic or something today. Try it later.

Nice! The snowmobile shuttle and the elbow pad helmet win the prize for off the wall. What happened to the helmet, did it get ripped off? Sounds like a pretty brutal beatdown. Beautiful canyon, thanks for posting.
