Playspots on Lower Salmon, ID?

I am on an August Lower Salmon trip and I am trying to decide whether to take my raft or kayak.

I know there are large lakes, which I will probably ride on a raft anyway.

But, I want to know if there is any surf that would even make it worthwhile to bring my kayak. It will probably be moderately low water. I have seen some beta on one surf wave but I am not sure if that is enough to make we want to kayak the whole thing.

Any comments or beta would really be appreciated!
