Its a 6400 af reservoir owned by Centennial Water and San (Highlands Ranch). http://www.highlandsranch.org/06_wsa...cts_may_08.pdf
The reservoir looks to be about 135 acres and is filling at about 3-inches per day. cbs4denver.com - New Reservoir To Provide Water For Highlands Ranch
That's about 35 af per day or 18 cfs.
Even during free river conditions (like the super wet spring and summer last year), I don't think the SP Reservoir is capable of storing at a rate which will significantly decrease recreational flows on the south platte through metro Denver. (By Metro Denver, I'm referring to the colloquial definition, that is the Denver Metropolitan area, which includes nearby towns and cities and differs from a strict jurisdictional definition.)
