Plateau Creek questions

I drove thru the canyon once, and it looks beautiful! How difficult would it be for a Class 2-3 boater at the higher water levels of the next few weekends? Recommendations? Worth it or not to drive west from Carbondale to the mesa for Plateau Creek?

Since the whole river is roadside, you can scout what is going on. As a 2-3 boater you should be ok, but with the current levels 1000-2000cfs+, Ive never seen the river this high. Not sure what It would look like, but it could be worth the drive for something new. There aren't any fences, or dangers to worry about.

plateau crk high

the creek is very high right now, so it is very fast. even though it is only a class 3 run most of the way, you still need to be very heads up for bridges, wood, and there are some big holes at this flood level. it will be a rock n roll ride for sure. have fun and be safe.
