PINE CREEK RACE...tomorrow
Hey everybody,
The Pine Creek Boater X race is happening tomorrow! The level is 1600CFS, which is the same level as last year. 1600CFS means that the hole is at its worst. (Big, Munchy, and violent) This is going to be a fun race to watch, and nerve racking for any of the competitors.
Registration starts at 9AM, and the prelim time trials start at 9:30/10AM. The top 16 times will advance to the head-to-head heats. This will most likely start around 12PM. It all depends on how quickly we can get the time trials to go. Meaning: the more swims the longer it takes.
The final note is for any spectators that plan to be up there tomorrow: Please park accordingly along the highway up at Pine Creek. Also, you will technically be trespassing when you walk down to the railroad tracks. It is the same deal as the GoreCanyon Race. They say, "don't walk on the tracks." But spectators do it anyway and no tickets are giving out. Plus, this is a non-active railroad line, so no railroad staff will be there. Just be respectful of the property and be safe.
For those that cant make it. Luke from whitewaterphotography.com will be shooting video of the race with 4 CAMERAS. He will then show the race at the Steamplant in Salida on Friday and Saturday night. (10PM)
Have a fun weekend and be safe!
