hey, i was just up there and the road isn't open. from what i understand it won't be open for a little while yet.

Every wave and crease and current dissolves and is reformed moment to moment, in a journey toward complete undifferentiation. How can you conquer something that only seeks to disappear?

Are you talking about the road the upper put-in or the campground in the middle? ie: can you get to the put-in right now? Just wondering because it looks like it might run this weekend.

I heard the road is still closed. This means you have to boat the entire run not just the second half. If it stays warm the next few days it will be boatable this weekend. Once it gets over 1000 cfs the second half of the run is fun. The first half is a little low at that level but I am willing to put up with the splish splash just to be able to paddle.

Listen up suckas

When this website says "First Fork Road #622 - OPEN", that's when you can do just the first box (really the last box if you're floating) alone. Otherwise, you gotta' take it from the top. It's a beaut, so go do it. Post if you see any wood or other hazards, too.

Also, the gauge is WAY downstream, so early in the season it will be a lot lower at the 1st put-in than what the gauge reads. My totally off-the-cuff guess would be like 50% for early season all the way up to 90% in late-June as the season winds down.

At lower levels I'd plan on a long day on the river. Low in my mind would be less than 7-800 real cfs -- so the gauge might read 1,400 this early in early season.
