Piedra on fire

looks like the fire is over 6000 acres and has burned some of the north (right) bank.

InciWeb the Incident Information System: Little Sand

Here is a pic I just took from my house.

shoulda got that column on Tuesday in focus...was making its own weather system with a huge Pyrocumulous cloud!

in other news I just sat in on a logistics meeting for this and one of the major goals is to keep it out of the Piedra drainage, East (private) and North (private) and let it burn West into USFS land

I've never boated before, but I have posted a lot on Mountain Buzz!
