peeing in the river / Lemonade from Lemons
The passing of the young lady in the grand canyon made me reflect on this a bit.
Would it be so bad to pee 3-5' back from the bank. On a non tail water, the river fluctuations would typically address the urine quickly. I've had to clean up vast amounts of TP in camps along the Colorado (Historically the Moab camp sites were terrible)where proper protocols were not followed, and understand it is annoying and gross. But, I guess the risk reward on this is such that I'm a in the historic river bed is close enough guy. You could even designate a spot and dump a couple buckets on it as you pull out?
It is an assumption that this is what happened when she fell in the river. I understand that. It just seems that following such a senseless trajedy, maybe there is a better way? I know those river banks are slick when I've had a few and am at the water edge on a late night.
