There is a NPS takeout at Pearce Ferry above the currently drowned rapid.

FYI. I got to ride on a jet boat into the rapid on Saturday 7/14 to check it out. We backed all the way to the left eddy in the corner. It is at the level just before it started to get really scary. Right now it IS runnable. It appears as though it will continue to get more difficult thru time and flow levels.

You "should" be fine taking out at Pearce... unless the river moves a tad north at the rapid, and then it will cause all sorts of troubles at the Pearce take-out. If that happens you will hear about it on this bulletin board. Have a GREAT trip this November! All the best, Tom
