Park and play near Carbondale?

I just moved to Carbondale and I am looking for somewhere quick to play after work. I know the Colorado is always good but is there anywhere in the Roaring Fork or the Crystal? If not ... anyone looking for someone to paddle with after work for a quick run? Let me know!

the narrows run or the anthratcite-brb run on the Crystal is a good after work distraction, but it doesnt flow all year. the fork has water in it but there isnt really any killer play holes on it, just a few good waves here and there. your best bet is to just rock a booze crooze after work on the fork, or go up to shoshone.

There is a cool hole behind the Ranch at Roaring Fork- unless you live in the neighborhood and have access to the gate the spot is not park and play. It is a fun afterwork run though- put on at the bridge behind the Catherine store and the hole is about 15 min. dowstream. The takeout is the Days Inn right off of 133- We live in Carbondale and boat after work- give me a call Natalie 423-202-5842

Some quick play near snowmass

Thanks for the info. I actually found a quick short spot to get my hair wet across from the snowmass post office on the roaring fork. It is about 200 yards long.

I do live in RVR so maybe I should check out the play spot on the crystal. Where abouts is it?

My boating is pretty here and there. I have a newborn and a three year old so it really is only when I can sneek away and play quickly.
