Paddle shops in northern WY?

Hello mountain men and cow people,

I've got a friend near Sheridan who needs to gear up for her first season. Can you recommend a good paddle shop in N. Wyoming that can give her some expert advice and get her outfitted?

Thanks.

if you want all the good gear and a great selection to choose from your best choice would be rendezvous river sports in Jackson hands down. its a drive but well worth it if you are spending over a grand. also one other kayak shop in jackson as you are driving into town i dont know if it is still there?

you might have even better luck in montana?

Snake river kayak is still here in Jackson. Not a big selection though. Bozeman has a big shop.

Thanks a lot, folks. I like to go for selection myself. There is nothing like going to a shop on the way to the put-in and finding out they have no throw bags left and one dusty Chinese-made river knife under the counter.

Caspermike You are an Idiot and childish!

Between Core Mountain Sports and Gradient Mountain Shop there is a very good selection of boats and gear in Cody. Sierra Trading Post does have stuff also. Give one of us a call were happy to help you out and the Shoshone here in town is a great river to learn on which is just over the hill from Sheridan.

my friend bought a boat from you last year and hes still using the demo you let him borrow over the summer wheres his boat already may? i wouldn't send another customer to you unless you actually had a kayak shop with more than 2 racks worth of gear. somebody needs more than 4 drytops to choose from unless you have alot of womens gear? probably not.....

i say if you are looking for a good selection your best bet would be somewhere else.

Ture, if your friend is in Sheridan, have her at least touch base with Aaron & the other shop in Cody to find out if they can help her out. It's her closest option, & while selection on the shelf may or may not be what CKS has (it's northern Wyo for god's sake), friendly expert advice -- which is damn hard to come by in Jackson -- is really what she needs ...

Mike, it's time for you to grow up son.
